Teaching Young Learners

In this video, Zander is teaching a young learner from China through one of the biggest online school platforms in the world. For privacy reasons, we have had to blur out the face of the child and some of the information at the top of the video. However, this is a very good example of what teaching children for one of the online Chinese schools is like. Zander’s gestures and facial expressions are more exaggerated in an effort to engage the student in the interactive lesson. This is referred to as TPR or Total Physical Response and is a very common requirement on platforms that focus on teaching young learners.
