30-Hour Supervised Teaching Practicum
One of the biggest challenges new teachers face is gaining experience. That's why the Advanced Career Mentorship Upgrade includes a supervised 30-hour Teaching Practicum, giving you the opportunity to put your skills into practice before applying for teaching roles.
Throughout the practicum you'll teach 10 one-hour lessons to real learners, apply proven teaching methodologies, receive constructive feedback from experienced tutors and build the confidence needed to teach independently online.
This practical experience helps bridge the gap between holding a TEFL certificate and teaching professionally, giving you hands-on experience that most TEFL certificates alone don't include.

Do I need to already hold a TEFL certificate?
Yes. The Advanced Career Mentorship Upgrade is designed for teachers who already hold a TEFL certification from another provider. If you don't yet have a TEFL certification, our Advanced Online Teacher Training programme includes the TEFL course as well as the practicum, specialist CPD courses and mentorship.
How long do I have to complete my training?
You'll have six months' access to your 30-hour teaching practicum — more than enough time for most students, even those studying part-time. Your three included specialist CPD courses come with lifetime access.
Which specialist courses are included?
All three of our specialist CPD courses are included: the 30-Hour Business English course, the 30-Hour Teach IELTS course and the 60-Hour Teach Cambridge course. That's a further 120 hours of specialist training, and all three come with lifetime access.
Is the training completely online?
Yes. The teaching practicum and mentorship sessions are all delivered online, allowing you to take part from anywhere in the world.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. After successfully completing all practicum and mentorship requirements, you'll receive your CPD Accredited certificate.
